Intelli-Flex II is a unique microphonic intrusion detection system for outdoor, fence-mounted perimeter security applications. By analyzing signals generated by the minute flexing of a proprietary triboelectric coaxial sensor cable, Intelli-Flex II will detect an intruder cutting through, climbing on or lifting the fence fabric.

Intelli-Flex II can be used for palisade fences, the threat is normally climbing and not cutting so the fence should be at least 2m (6.6 ft.) high to deter jumping over. The cable is installed on the fence in a square wave pattern with a vertical separation of cable of about 75 cm (30 in.).

Intelli-Flex II can also be used on vinyl coated or plastic coated fencing that does not transmit sound to the cable as efficiently as bare metal fabric. For vinyl coated fences we recommend doubling up the amount of sensor cable used on the fence. We recommend two passes of cable be installed in a zone for vinyl coated fabric compared to the single pass when the fabric is bare metal.

There are also a number of ways to protect swinging and sliding gates and to bypass them when they are in use.
