Concentric Security : Shallow Mount Plate Barrier

Concentric Security shallow mount plate barriers offer high security protection from vehicular attacks. Our Model GS-05-820 barriers are designed for continuous use and are ideal for high security and high traffic applications.

These barriers are crash tested to Department of State specifications (STD 02.01) and have obtained a K12/L3 certification.

Each shallow mount plate consists of a cast in place frame, 3/4” thick steel raising plate with locking linkage, and all necessary hardware. The raising plate is positioned by either a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder. Our Model GS-05-6119 hydraulic pumping unit is also included and can be configured to operate several separate barriers.

The Model GS-05-820 barrier can be operated in either normal or emergency mode. Operating times will be 4-6 seconds for normal operation and 1-3 seconds for emergency operation.

Barriers are available in 9’ and 14’ widths. All shallow mount plate barriers come equipped with our standard “up and down” controller; however, custom controllers are available to make your unit operate in conjunction with card readers, audible alarms, loop detectors, and traffic arms and lights.

Installation requires minimal excavation (approximately 18” deep) and operation will not be affected by variations in the surrounding grade.
