Concentric Security Model GS-05-890 Surface Mount Plate Barriers offer protection for medium security areas at a reasonable price. Our Model GS-05-890 barriers are designed for continuous use and are constructed to withstand medium speed vehicle attacks.

These barriers are crash tested to US Marshall Service specifications and have obtained a K1.2 / L3 equivalent certification with zero penetration from a 4,000 pound vehicle.

Each plate barrier consists of a bolt down frame, raising plate with locking linkage, and all necessary hardware. The Model GS-05-890 comes with a built in pumping unit and requires a 208 volt, 3 Ø, 60 Hz power supply.

The Model 890 barrier can be operated in either normal or emergency mode. Operating times will be 4-6 seconds for normal operation and 1-3 seconds for emergency operation.

Barriers are available in standard 10’ blade widths, but wider custom blades are available.

All surface plate barriers come equipped with our standard “up and down” controller; however, custom controllers are available to make your unit operate in conjunction with card readers, audible alarms, loop detectors, and traffic arms and lights.

The unit is designed to be bolted to an existing concrete slab, therefore no excavation is required.
