Concentric Security's strong partnership with Applied Research Associates (ARA) allows us to offer their extensive experience in performing security risk assessments and disaster management planning through our GSA Schedule (GS-07F-0100M, listed under Intellimar, Inc.).

Risk assessment and disaster management planning are extremely important phases in the development of a complete physical security solution. These services provide organizations with a better understanding of the risks to their facilities and the appropriate responses before, during, and after an event occurs. These services allow Concentric Security to offer an integrated solution from the design and analysis phase through product installation and construction.

Risk AssessmentThe assessment teams utilize a risk assessment methodology, Federal Security Risk Management (FSRM), which ARA originally developed for the Federal Protective Service (FPS) of the General Services Administration (GSA). FPS has applied this process to assess the over 8000 federally owned and/or operated facilities for which GSA has security responsibilities. These assessments are often performed as part of a more thorough disaster management plan.

A comprehensive disaster management master plan covers preparedness, response, and recovery (both short term and long term).FSR Training Manual Included in a typical plan is an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) layout, EOC organizational chart, duties and responsibilities of the EOC team, team member names and phone numbers, emergency communications, and resources. In addition, specific emergency response instructions are provided for events including explosions; fires; chemical, biological, or radiological hazards; weather related emergencies; civil disturbances; and communications or power failures. The disaster recovery section covers finance and administration, resource management, and logistics and facilities for both short term and long term recovery efforts.

Training for security professionals during and after this process is also available to your security professionals both in the classroom and on the job. This training will help your trainees to apply the FSRM methodology and to help formulate training exercises, evaluate those exercises and make recommendations for corrective actions to a disaster management plan.
